Thank you for visiting DriveSafe of Texas. We offer FULL state-approved “Defensive Driving” courses that can be completed in one day.
Our courses are offered in San Marcos and Universal City. No classes are offered on holidays, holiday weekends or Christmas Eve thru January 1st.
The cost is $35 Dollars, ($25 in San Marcos until Jan, 2012), which includes:
A Great Instructor and a FREE meal.
Our classes are fun and easy to pass.
Advanced registration is not necessary. Just arrive 10 minutes early to register and pay your instructor with cash or check.
You must show your drivers license or other photo ID
San Marcos courses are offered inside Mamacita’s, 1400 Aquarena Springs Dr. on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, you must attend only one time, 4:00-10:00 p.m. (I-35 Exit # 206 for Aquarena Springs Dr)
Courses are also offered inside Tres Hermanas Mexican Restaurant, 2550 Hunter Rd, Suite 1106, on the 3rd Saturday of each month, 9:00-3:00.
Universal City courses are offered on the 2nd and 4th MONDAYS, 4-10 p.m., inside Mr. Gatti’s; 2921 Pat Booker Rd, off 1604 east of I-35. (You attend only once).
Class Information
This Driving Safety course is state-approved for Ticket Dismissal and Insurance Discount.
$35 course fee includes a meal near the middle of the course, drinks and a break each hour.
A receipt indicating payment and course completion is issued at the end of the course. The official Completion Certificate must be mailed to you .
(Our certificates often arrive within 5 days at NO EXTRA CHARGE. Most courts will give you extra time to provide the certificate if you show them the receipt.)
The six-hour course is completed in one day. Short breaks and meal are included in the six hours.
Sunday classes are held—- 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Weekday classes are held —4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Saturday classes are held—-9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Advanced registration is not necessary. Arrive about ten (10) minutes before classtime to register with the instructor, pay the instructor by cash or check (no credit or debit cards), show your drivers license and be able to identify your court. Courts are either “Municipal” or “Justice of the Peace.” If it is a Municipal Court, it may be identified as “City-name of the city”, such as “City-Austin.” If it is a Justice of the Peace Court, it may be identified as “JP-name of the county,” such as “JP-Travis.”
Classes will not be held on holidays and holiday weekends. No classes are planned for weekends of Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas Eve thru January 1.
We always complete courses in one day. We don’t cancel classes, like other schools, because of poor attendance.
